TCS MICRO is the ideal solution for simple low cost remote controls. It has 1 optocoupled input (that can be wired as a active low input) it has a low power relay ouput (max 24V AC or 48 DC, 500 ma) that can be used to drive a bigger relay or directly a small device. It has got the White lIst for 64 numbers that can be used as a gate opener. It can be powered from 9 to 35 VDC or from 9 to 24 VAC. It incorporates a Siemens TC35 dual Band GSM module that makes the cost of this device really attractive. It can be supplied as 'electronic board only' or with various accessories, shown below. Though it does not have a battery power management, this can be obtained powering the unit with a 12V lead battery (not supplied), constantly attached to a charger (nor supplied). This is a second-best configuration as it does not warns of power failure and cannot measure voltage level.
