Designed for locations where it is not possible to have power, this solution based on a modified TCS 3.5, or on a TCS-WORLD in case 3 band GSM is needed, allows monitoring of inputs and analog input with power coming from a set of standard alkaline batteries (8 batteries for 12V in total). To save power, the unit is always in stand by mode. It wakes up every day at a certain hour and sends an SMS with current I/O status. In the picture above the solution has been implemented to monitor fuel tanks and report about their status everyday. In this configuration the unit can run stand alone for over 1 year (up to 2 years in normal temperature conditions). The sensor shown in the picture is manufactured by GEMS sensors.
