TCS OS COMMANDS LIST

Conventions used in commands:
<mandatory field> = indicates a mandatory field to be typed after the command
[optional field] = indicates an optional field, that can be omitted

Command: #PIP
Description: Sets IP parameters for connection in GPRS for TCS-GPS
Product availability: TCS-GPS=Y
Command availability: Command line and SMS
Syntax:
  • #PIP?
    Returns IP parameters values

  • #PIP[=]<IP>,<dp>


  • Mandatory fields:
  • <IP> : IP address where the packets must be sent
    i.e. 192.165.138.020 (always fill with zeroes if necessary!)
    or alphanumeric address like domain.net (max 40 characters)
  • <dp> : destination port of UDP packets
    IMPORTANT: operators don't usually let UDP packets go to all ports. Depending on the port you use, the system may or may NOT work.
    We have seen that port 999 usually works, but this could not be your case and we can't change this fact. Ask your operator.
  • Optional fields: [=] allowed to improve readability
    Examples:
  • #PIP=192.168.135.002,999
  • Default value after #INI: 000.000.000.000,0
    Default value after reset: Unchanged
    ADMIN Password privileges: Write/read
    USER Password privileges: Read
    Notes: This command is very specific and you must know about GPRS and Internet to understand it.
