This page contains most important informations to enable you to use your TCS-AWS. Basically you need to: 1- insert a SIM that does not ask for a PIN code (to remove this request you should insert it in a phone and select this feature). If, for security purposes, you want to use a PIN code, you should first switch on the TCS-AWS without a SIM, connect with a PC, program the PIN for the specific SIM you will use and then switch off and insert a SIM card that will ask for that PIN. To know more about how to connect to a PC and about the PIN command, please see the TCS OS Instruction SET 2- The TCS-AWS is shipped with the battery disconnected. Please connect it. To switch on from battery you must push the battery start button. Whenever the TCS-AWS shuts down and you want to start it from a battery ( no external supply applied) you should always start it using this button. 3- The TCS-AWS is optimized to run with a solar panel and it has its own intelligent power management system to take the maximum advantage of even a few hours of sunshine. If you power the TCS-AWS with another source of power please consider that you ned to apply at least 15VAC or 18 VDC for it to power up and charge the battery properly. 4- If you use a solar panel please note that the backup battery will last for about 6 days without charge. Make sure your panel has enough power to deliver enough energy when sun shines. A 20VA panel is required. The battery is a 7A type and the TCS-AWS charger can deliver a maximum of 0.5A. We have done many tests and under normal conditions, in which you have at least 3 Hours of sun or light clouds per day, the battery stays charged without problems.
