Using a voltage below 18V will not charge the battery properly and will not start up the station automatically (see manual startup) an AC voltage between 15 and 24 VAC Connect the battery connector to its 2 pin connector to have continuous operation. The TCS-AWS will shutdown automatically whenever the battery is below 10.5V. Manual startup In order to protect the battery from deep discharge (that would come from cyclic power-up and power down) if there is no main power, or it is below 17V, it is necessary to start the unit pressing the power up button located in the upper right cornet, near the battery regulator. Automatic startup Connect more than 17 VDC or 15AC to the main power connector and the TCS-AWS will start automatically.
